Implementation

Phase 4: QEP Pre-Implementation

During this phase, the primary goal is to make final preparations for implementation of the plan and continue to promote awareness and importance of QEP. There are 3 components to this phase: 1) submittal of the plan; 2) review by the on-site committee; and 3) final decision by SACS Commission on Colleges. The following tasks will be accomplished during July 2008 through the beginning of Phase 5:

  • Review the QEP and make any necessary modifications to meet SACS requirements
  • Determine the methods to collect and analyze data generated when the QEP is implemented at the college
  • Establish procedures for QEP implementation including personnel selections, timelines, specific activities, and task lists
  • Initiate budget requests for QEP implementation within the college's normal budget planning and submittal procedures
  • Initiate goals and objectives for QEP within the college's unit planning system
  • Promotional team will market and promote QEP awareness and importance to the college community

Phase 5: QEP Implementation

Once the project proposal has been accepted and approved by SACS, implementation of the plan will begin immediately. The following will be accomplished:

  • The QEP project will transfer to the team designated to implement, administrate, and carry out the project
