Auto Body Repair
The Auto Body Repair Program at Northwest-Shoals Community
College is designed to train students to repair an automobile
correctly, economically, and safely. The program includes
technology, welding, mathematics, shop safety, metal
straightening, panel placement, interior trim and body
refinishing, auto electricity, glass replacement, frame
straightening, fiber glass repair, and damage estimations.
The student will learn how to become an automobile repairman with
skills that include all phases of auto body repair.
This program is offered to students who want to prepare for
specific occupational employment. An occupational
certificate is awarded upon completion of program. This
program does not require a high school diploma or GED certificate
for admission. Students must be at least 16 years of age to
enroll. Students without a GED are encouraged to enroll in
classes to obtain this certificate while in the program.
Both day and evening classes are offered.
