Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration

The Heating-Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program covers the practical application of the planning, installing,, and servicing heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment in residential and commercial establishments.

The increased use of air conditioning and refrigeration in homes and work environments provides growing job opportunities in transportation, food preservation, manufacturing, space programs, medical services, and many others.

The basic curriculum consists of four semesters taught during the evening program.

This program is offered to students who want to prepare for specific occupational employment.  An occupational certificate is awarded upon completion of program.  This program does not require a high school diploma or GED certificate for admission.  Students must be at least 16 years of age to enroll.  Students without a GED are encouraged to enroll in classes to obtain this certificate while in the program.
