Scholarship

Northwest-Shoals Community College was awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor approximately 2 million dollars for Machine Shop/CNC Technology training. As a result, the Advanced Machine Shop/CNC Technology Center (AMTC) has scholarship funds available for qualifying students interested in an Associates of Technology Degree or Career Certificate. All students interested in AMTC are encouraged to apply. Students interested in enrolling in AMTC should have good manual dexterity to operate equipment, spatial comprehension and above average math skills to interpret part shape and size from blueprints and a good mechanical aptitude. Priority will be given to students receiving little or no other financial aid.

Application procedures include:
1. Must apply for FAFSA.
2. Must have at least a "C" average.
3. Fill out the scholarship application form (linked below).
4. Student must submit 2 letters of recommendation from school representatives.
5. Student must have a copy of high school transcripts or GED scores. Originals must be mailed or turned into the Admissions Office with NW-SCC student application prior to registration.
