Math Tutors / Lab Assistants

NWSCC is seeking applicants to serve as math tutors/lab assistants. Applicants enrolled at NWSCC or other colleges as well as those who have earned an associate's or bachelor's degree are encouraged to apply. Work hours will vary and range from 10-19 hours per week. The pay scale ranges from $8.00 to $15.00 per hour. Please contact the Human Resources department to fill out an application. NWS-CC is now accepting applications for adjunct (part-time) instructors in the area of Industrial Maintenance and Drafting. An Associates's Degree and 3 years of experience is required. A copy of all transcripts is required when applying.

NWS-CC is also accepting applications for adjunct (part-time) instructors, especially in the area of Psychology, English, Math, Biology, and Economics. A master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field is required. A copy of all transcripts is required when applying.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

When a full-time position is available at NW-SCC, applicants must submit a complete application package in order to receive full consideration for employment. The application package consists of:
      A completed and signed NW-SCC application
      A current resume
      Complete transcripts from every institution from which any collegate credit was earned (if applicable)
      A letter of employment verification


ADJUNCT FACULTY APPLICATION PROCESS:

To be considered for an adjunct instructor position at Northwest-Shoals Community College, applicants must submit a complete application packet. A complete application packet consists of a NW-SCC employment application, current resume and official transcripts from each college attended.

Upon receipt of all your official transcripts, we will forward your application materials to the appropriate academic department for evaluation of your credentials and experience. Should an adjunct instructor position become available, one of our deans or lead faculty members may contact you for an interview.

Before completing an application, please make sure that you meet minimum qualifications:

      If you would like to teach at the associate degree level, you must have a Master's Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in an instructional discipline offered at NW-SCC.

      If you would like to teach in professional, occupational and technical programs not usually resulting in college transfer, ou must have an Associate Degree in the assigned teaching area or equivalent (at least 60 semester hours in a planned program including associate degree core).
