Northwest-Shoals offers a comprehensive program of financial aid to assist all students. Please contact the Financial Aid Office. Costs stated are for students designated as eligible for in-state tuition. Tuition and fees are subject to change by the appropriate officials of Northwest-Shoals, the Chancellor, or the State Board of Education without notice. Residents of Mississippi or Tennessee living within 50 miles of either Muscle Shoals or Phil Campbell campuses may be automatically eligible for in-state tuition rates (see catalog). Contact the Admissions Office for determination of eligibility. Out-of-state tuition is $170.00 per semester plus all fees ($25.00/per credit hour). A fee of $25.00 will be charged for late registration. The Graduation fee is $35.00. State Board Policy sets 19 hours as the maximum number of credit hours for which a student may register without prior approval of the Dean of Instruction. The cost for additional hours will be charged at the rate based upon the type of course ($85.00/credit hour for regular courses plus all fees ($25.00/credit hour) and $110.00/credit hour for distance education courses).
