In the event your account becomes delinquent, you will be responsible for all costs of collection. These costs include collection agency fees, attorney fees, court costs, judgment interest and any other allowable charges in accordance with state regulations.

Notes for Distance Education Students:


Distance Education students are required to take at least one proctored exam on campus, and many courses require multiple proctored exams. Although we make every effort to accommodate distance education students with low cost or no cost test proctoring services, students who are unable to take exams at either of the NW-SCC campus testing centers will be responsible for any charges incurred at remote test proctor sites and will pay any required fees directly to these sites.  Some courses utilize ProctorU, a remote test proctoring service. Proctoring fees with ProctorU typically range from $17-$25 per exam. Note that students may take proctored exams at no charge at our campus testing centers.

Complaint/Grievance Procedure
If you have a complaint about a Distance Education or on-campus course, you should always talk with your instructor or individual involved first to try to resolve the issue. If you are unable to resolve the issue, you may file a complaint form with the Office of the Vice President of Instruction located in Building 100 on the Shoals campus. Normally, complaints will be processed within seven (7) days of the written report up to a maximum of 30 days.
