Notes on Quigg: Jake prepped at Loyola Blakefield HS, a very prestigious private school in Glenarm, MD.  He was selected as an All-State performer in both baseball and football.  Quigg led his high school team in almost every pitching and offensive category. He will have the same opportunity here as he continues to be a dual player.  Jake spent the fall working at third-base and saw time on the hill.  He is a big, physical kid with a lot of potential and made a lot of progress as the fall continued. Offensively he has a chance to hit with a lot of power and on the mound he has a fastball that reaches the low 90’s with a good breaking ball. This past summer Jake played with Patriot teammates Travis Stewart and Brett Foskey on the Maryland Monarchs.

Langston on Quigg: “Jake had a great finish to the fall and has put himself in a position to have a very good freshman campaign.  He will be one of our top guys on the mound and could serve in several different roles.  He is also battling for a job in the starting line-up and is looking to put up big numbers offensively and on the mound”.
