Notes on Harris: Griff played in the NWSCC Fall league and was also involved in the Muscle Shoals summer league that won the American Legion State Championship. Harris prepped at Phil Campbell High School and led his team to the 2A State Championship game his Junior and Senior year. As a senior Griff hit 538% with 27 2B, 9 HR, 46 RBI’s. He also was 7-2 on the mound. Harris was back to back 2A player of the year and was an All State selection his Junior and Senior year. Griff reported this fall with an arm injury and had surgery in early September. He will be ready for opening day and we are anticipating big things from him the next two years. He is another dual guy and could play a significant role on the mound and at the plate in 2007.
