Classes providing non-English speaking people with the language skills needed to succeed in other education / training programs and to cope more effectively with the challenges of their daily lives.
Classes providing integrated English literacy and civics education services to immigrants and other limited - English proficient populations so that they may effectively participate in the education, work, and civic opportunities of this country. Instructional activities shall include, but not be limited to, the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, U.S. history and government, and naturalization procedures. These instructional activities will enhance instructional programs by allowing providers to be more responsive to individual needs.
