Welcome to Northwest-Shoals Community College's SACS Accreditation Reaffirmation website.  Northwest-Shoals was formed in 1993 through a merger of Northwest Alabama Community College's Phil Campbell campus and Shoals Community College.  The merger was reviewed and approved by the Commission of Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  Reaffirmation of accreditation was granted by SACS in December, 1999.  The college is currently working toward reaffirmation of accreditation in 2009.  The purpose of this site is to provide information and updates throughout the reaffirmation process.
